How RosterMatch checks creator fit - and what it refuses to claim
When you add a creator in RosterMatch, the app compares them against your business brief with four rule-based checks. Every check explains itself, and anything missing is shown as unknown rather than silently treated as a pass or a fail.
The four checks
- Category. Shared topics between your business category and the creator's niche, based on the words entered - not a content audit.
- Language. Shared content languages between your brief and the creator's profile.
- Location. Shared location terms, with the caveat that a creator's location does not prove where their audience is.
- Budget. Whether the creator's indicative rate fits your total planning budget. Neither number is a quote.
What the checks deliberately are not
They are not a percentage, a prediction, or a guarantee of alignment. They compare the information you and the creator entered - nothing more. Audience demographics, authenticity, values and final fees all need direct review with the creator, and the app says so wherever a check runs.
Why unknowns are shown, not hidden
A missing rate or language could look like a zero, and a zero could quietly drag a creator down a ranking. RosterMatch treats missing information as "unknown" instead: visible, labelled, and excluded from judgment. A shortlist built on labelled unknowns is more honest than a ranking built on silent zeros.
You can try the exact check code on the home page demo - it runs the same logic as the app, on two clearly-marked fictional creators.
